Contemporary Elizabethan Hair Inspiration

These are contemporary Elizabethan hairstyles that i have found and i like them, because they are all different, and messy, which is what makes them modern.

A crimped updo - love it !!: A 80s look here, but crimping is what was done in the Elizabethan era as well, but the mess of it, is modern, but i like the rounded shape a the top, like a heart, is more like it, then the others, by pulling pieces of hair out and around the hair, gives it more texture and you can see the crimping more.

When i look at these i see a modern look, and kind of fantasy, the reason i could think of it being a Elizabethan is the hair that is up high on each side of the head. I like the way it is alien, like but reminding me of the era, with the plaits and high hair.

I think of candyfloss when i look at this image, but the pulled back and high up hair, makes me think of that and the 16th century, but with it being pink and not is neat, it is modern. I like the co,our as it brings out the white of the background and her complexion

Thom BrowneLooking at this style there is a clown like look to it, and slightly scary, but the outfit suggests it being of the Elizabethan era, which is what it reminded me of, The high maybe more goth with the white and it being dark as well. but the way the hair is messy, instead of intricate and neat, makes it contemporary.
