I have looked at contemporary hairstyles here, for the up and coming designers catwalk show and these are some inspiration to get me started first i want to explore the big height and body.
This hair gives me inspiration, as the curls, do remind me of Elizabethan hair, but could work well with bold patterns and colours. I would not do every curl as it would take ages and you would have to have a lot of hair to make the body that shape and height. It has so much texture and i really like that when hair makes such a bold statement.

This reminds me of a more 70s vibe, with the flat top and the big bodied hair at the bottom as it goes down, but this does look like it has been crimped a lot and backcombed, which is what i think i would do well in experimenting on.

I dont think i could create hair this big and with that many curls, but is a good starting point of how i would get a idea and what i should experiment on doing. I like how the hair is pulled back on one side and the other side pulled to front over the shoulder, so that it shapes all around the face. It being flat on top does remind me of the 70s again, which is quite popular at the moment. I think this look could pull off any colour and patterns, because it is so big anf bold, its self and could work on any hair colour as well.

Has a Elizabethan feel with how high and the shape, but more modern and reminds me of a tribal look, with it messy and the mohawk like style. I love how it comes forward over the head like that. But with this hair, i think a red, white, black or brown colours would work best, so not as good with bold patterns, but it depends on what the clothes will be. The height and body would make up for it though and how contemporary and punk like it looks.
