I think the front is neater and more 50s looking, but i made it with my hands to roll it over, which i wont in the practice, i just experimented with it at the moment.

To get this, i just plaited the hair on each side, in the middle, so it created a shaped around the hair. and i think it looks interesting and stands out and could maybe go with the make up i have design for it, as it is bold.

What i would change is how quickly i done it, as i wanted to make more designs on the head, but when i have one designed picked, i would obviously spend more time on it.
It has Elizabethan inspiration in it, which is the plaits and using the high front, by backcombing it, the skill i learnt to do properly and how it works.
The rest i want it contemporary, as the character i have had the idea about, would be powerful and confident looking, so the hair needs to be up, because she is not young, and not a virgin, It is feminine looking, which is what i want, but not in a way that she is a woman who is married and does what he tells her to, but a fighter, someone who got rid of her husband, someone not to mess with. So it being messy, might give that effect or it being perfect might show her as someone she is not.

When i look at it, it kind of reminds me of Princess Layua in Star Wars, or something fantasy like that, which is modern and wanted it to be more that way, but incorporating Elizabethan hair skills i have learnt to do.
