The plaits worked though, and were easy to do and my partner even thought of another way of the plaits that were right underneath and came around into the middle, so instead of it going around on both side of the head, decided to cross them over each other, as it looked much better looking. The crimping was quick and so was sectioning the hair, so did it in the right amount of time that was needed, so that it brought texture to it and volume enough to create a shape with it.
You can see the front looks very Elizabethan with the crimped texture and that it is high, but i think if i did it again i wouldn't include the rolled hair on top, as i think it looks like a after thought, even though it is not, it looks like a bun which is not what i thought it would be, The contemporary side is the plaits and making it look slightly bridal with them, but it is very neat and not messy. I would need to make the ratt again as was quite short and made it stick out when trying to secure it to the head, so one side was slightly flatter, but my partner did a good job with trying to hide that by pulling parts of the hair up with the pin tail comb to make it work, also not to buy tights that are to thick and big to create the ratt, as it is difficult to tie the end and to bend it into shape.
